WHITE CONE MAN SENTENCED TO 42 MONTHS IN PRISON FOR ASSAULT RESULTING IN SERIOUS BODILY INJURY

 


PHOENIX – Larry Cepi, 67, of White Cone, Ariz., was sentenced on January 20, 2009, by U.S. District Judge G. Murray Snow to 42 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release.  Cepi pleaded guilty on April 29, 2007 to assaulting his wife with a knife on the Navajo Nation in April 2007.

        The investigation in this case was conducted by the Navajo Police Department, the Navajo Department of Criminal Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Flagstaff, Ariz.  The prosecution was handled by Heather H. Nelson, Assistant U.S. Attorneys, District of Arizona, Phoenix.
