2037 EAST LA MESA STREET
POLICE ASK FOR YOUR HELP

Yuma, AZ –



On June 24, 2005 Yuma Police Officers responded to 2037 East La Mesa Street and found a family of six murdered. Officers located Luis Rios, 35 years old, in the backyard of the residence shot multiple times. Luis Rios' girlfriend, Adrienne Heredia, 30 years old and her four children, Danny Heredia III (6 year old male), Inez Newman (9 year old female), Enrique Bedoya (12 year old male) and Andreas Crawford (13 years old male) where found inside the residence murdered.

The Yuma Police Department has a dedicated team of investigators working on this case on a full-time basis.

The Yuma Police Department Investigations Bureau in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigations is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the two men shown in a surveillance video obtained from RC Liquor 101 East 24th Street on the day of the murders. One male is dressed in a white tank top shirt and the other male is dressed in a dark blue shirt and dark blue shorts. Police investigators have already identified the other people in the video. The two men briefly spoke to Luis Rios and left the store.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations has recently approved a reward of $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this terrible crime.

Yuma 78-Crime Board in cooperation with the Adrienne Bedoya-Heredia and Her Little Angels Fund also have a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the murders.

The attachment is the composite drawing of a suspect spotted at the scene on the night of the murders. The suspect is described as a Hispanic Male 27-34 years of age, 5’7 to 5’9 tall, approximately 220 lbs, stocky build and with dark hair. Phoenix Police Department Forensic Artist Kirt Messick prepared the sketch.
