Acting Special Agent in Charge, Keith Bennett, announced today, May 5, 2006, that the FBI is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a serial bank robber. This unidentified male committed three bank robberies during the month of April and one on May 2, 2006. The first occurred on April 17, 2006, approximately 4:15 p.m. at a bank in the 3500 block of West Glendale Road, Phoenix, Arizona. The second occurred on April 18, 2006, approximately 1:15 p.m., at a bank in the 5400 block of West Indian School Road, Phoenix, Arizona. The third occurred on April 24, 2006, approximately 11:00 a.m., at a bank in the 7300 block of North 35 th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. The last occurred on May 2, 2006, approximately 2:10 p.m., at a bank in the 7000 block of North 7 th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona. The robber verbally demands money form bank tellers while displaying a weapon which he carries in a CD case. The robber has displayed a chrome revolver during some of the robberies and a black semi automatic pistol in other robberies. Though he is typically observed fleeing the scene on foot, he was observed leaving the scene on a bicycle after the April 17, 2006 robbery. The robber is described as a white male, approximately 25 to 30 years of age, 5’7” in height and weighing approximately 140lbs. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, and a mustache with goatee and has crooked teeth. Armed bank robbery is a violent crime and the public should use caution and contact the FBI, 602-279-5511, or call 911, with any information concerning this individual. |
